hello old friend! Im back

hi folks.sorry for not updating my blog for the last 3months.my boy and blog mentor Icad have been busy!
what have i been up to the last 3 months? Lets see. Celebrated Merdeka at my kampong Batu Kurau with my Dad Pak Tam Din.went thru 3 novels (Dan Brown,Paul coelho n Tony Parson) , lots of concert dvds(Claptons 24 Nights,Beatles Let it be, Rolling Stones,etc) n movies (imagine that ,Gamer,ugly truth,G force, A Perfect Getaway) ;all in sept alone!

went For short breaks at lgkawi then Beijing in Oct. attended Kash's Convo at PICC on 31 Oct .

November: Got reelected as Chaiman Angkasa WP,KL on 8 Nov.
more movies 2012, surrogate, This is It and New Moon. Had a beautiful, eye-opening sojourn in Uzbekistan from 17 to 24th. had an ESQ experience :visited Imam Bukhori's birthplaçe at Bukhooro and his mausoleum at Samarkand.
enjoyed Tashkent's exuberance and vastness.will share d photos later - it takes forever to download here!

Time to smell the roses

The last 2 months i've been able to catch up on my reading, listened to some great stuff from my CD collection, watch a whole lot of TV and movies and most importantly spend Q time with the kids...Really feel alive and am looking at life through 'new' eyes.

At the same time I've been able to accomplish a lot professionally too.I'm now charting a fresh new course for the Coop. Godwilling will be able to break into 'new territories' and creating new businesses and new revenue streams . Been working smart and heart but without the pressure and tension of my previous role! In short, life is great!

Paid Holiday

Its been almost two months since i retired but life is still as hectic as ever.My roles as Chairman of Kota Mas and Angkasa Federal Territory ensured that my diary is full with meetings , functions , dinners and courses to attend. The first major function that i attended was the Kota Mas AGM.Thank God I was reelected as the Chairman for another year.Kota Mas recorded its highest profit in its history i.e RM 8.2M for 2008.The AGM approved a dividend of 7.25%--quite a respectable rate considering the state of the economy.
I also had the opportunity to attend the National Coop Day celebration held on 20 June 09 at Ipoh.The DPM officiated the event.The Minister for Coop Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri cut Kota Mas 87th Anniversary /Birthday Cake.FYI Kota Mas is the country's first Coop registered on 21 july 1922.This coop was awarded the Prime Minister's Quality Award in 2000 and The National Coop Award in 2003--THE 2 highest awards and therefore we are not in a position to win any other awards unless the rules are reviewed by the Authority!

That's all for now.I titled this excerpt 'Paid Holiday'cos as per the terms of my contract with TM I was given a 3-month pay-out by TM.I looove TM!I still have another month of 'Paid Holiday' so I better make the best of it!Gonna listen to my old Derek and Dominoes 'Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs' CD now.Ta Ra
